The goal of hip fracture repair is to put the broken bones back together, so they can heal as quickly as possible. IGUACU™ Intertrochanteric Femur Nail is designed to provide enhanced stability for the repair of intertrochanteric hip fractures. The IGUACU™ system offers anatomically shaped trapezoidal implants as opposed to conventional circular shaped intramedullary nails. The Integrated Compression Screws provide steady compression while the bone fragments heal; the two screws help maintain stability after healing. This combination of compression and stability helps to reduce the chance of postoperative complications such as rotation and collapse of the injured bone when compared to single screw devices.
